Thing 14- Wikis

In all the technology stuff, this is the one thing that is the most puzzling to me. I guess I just don't get them. Well, I get them more now that I have done this little tutorial on them and I get wikipedia. I guess I think wiki's would work best with high school or college kids though. I think middle school students would sabotage a class wiki, but maybe not. I need to see more or try more with wikis before I am a firm believer beyond wikipedia.

    We are just about to use a wiki for Christy Tyler's earthquake research project. I think it will be a great way for teams of students to collaboratively research.

    Oh...and I used a static wiki to post links for Andrea's persuasive essay research. It took about 15 minutes to set it up...pretty darn easy. (http://grlibrary.pbworks.com)
